For Briggs Danner, Circle City Raceway just seemed to be one of those places that he couldn’t connect with over the years in USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship competition.
Yet, during Thursday night’s Circle City Salute Presented by Desnuda Tequila, Danner found the Indianapolis, Indiana 1/4-mile dirt oval to his liking, much thanks to a monster curb that bit others, but was one that Danner’s car found bite on.

Since then, the Raisin City, California racer had always felt that it had been one that he let slip away.

The first of this weekend’s USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship rounds take us to Bloomington Speedway on Friday, May 1, for the 19th running of the Larry Rice Classic. The following night, Haubstadt’s Tri-State Speedway will host the 13th running of the Spring Showdown on Saturday, May 2.
