The Greatest Show on Dirt sets its sights on the “Dirty South” this weekend. The country’s best Sprint Car teams have left the “Sunshine State” with Alabama and Mississippi in their sights.
Conner Morrell is ready to join The Greatest Show on Dirt. The 20-year-old has been hired by Bill Rose Racing for his debut campaign with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars. The Bradenton, FL driver becomes the seventh rookie in the class of 2025 and brings the total number of full-time competitors to 15.
Questions and fear swirled in Bill Balog’s mind as he sat upside down in his Sprint Car. He’d just flipped while running fourth at Volusia Speedway Park’s DIRTcar Nationals. Pain burned in his right ankle. He feared the worst. But like most racers, his thoughts were only on the next race.
The USAC Hall of Fame class of inductees for 2025 has been revealed. USAC’s 12th hall of fame class includes driver/car owner Jack Bowsher, driver Dave Darland, car owner/official Bob Estes, car owner/crew chief Bob Hampshire, promoters Roger & Linda Holdeman, official Tommy Hunt and driver Gordon Johncock.
