Great weather is in the forecast as the “Super Series” program presented by Bala Management will feature the Hovis Auto & Truck Supply “410” Sprint Cars along with the Gibson Insurance Agency Pro Stocks, HTMA/Precise Racing Products RUSH Sportsman Modifieds, and the Whelen Econo Mods presented by Alcon Mechanical. Abreu Collects Silver Cup Victory at Lernerville

Rico Abreu proved that smooth and steady won the race during the Silver Cup Tuesday night at Lernerville Speedway with the Kubota High Limit Sprint Car Series. Abreu, from St. Helena, California, took the lead after Tyler Courtney and James McFadden made contact racing for the lead and held off challenges from Corey Day and Brad Sweet in the closing laps for the victory. The win was Abreu’s 6th feature victory of the 2024 season, picking up the $25,000 top prize in the process.

Great Lakes Edition: Atmosphere at the Chuck Wilson Memorial is a Fitting Tribute

One of the best local races of the 2023 season takes place again this Saturday at Butler Motor Speedway when they host the Chuck Wilson Memorial and Legends Night. The event turned out to be a celebration for Wilson, a standout racer from the Toledo, Ohio area that was multiple time feature inner and track champion at the high banked 3/8-mile oval, and a gathering to reminisce about the over 60-year history of racing at Butler.

Saturday night at Oswego Speedway saw an exciting 30-lap Pathfinder Bank SBS feature, presented by Compass Federal Credit Union and Rock Stream Retreat. Griffin Miller, the J&S Paving 350 Super Rookie of the Year contender, took the wheel of the No. 73 Ratcliff Racing SBS after blowing an engine in his 350 Super on Friday. Starting 11th, Miller charged to the lead and clinched his second SBS win, and his first since 2021.
