Sprint Car Racing’s fiercest rivalry reaches its peak this week. The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars are set to venture into Pennsylvania where the PA Posse await to defend home turf on the biggest stage.
As the season begins to wind down the Sprint Car Challenge Tour is poised to head for the Kings Speedway in Hanford this Friday October 4th. The 39th annual “Cotton Classic” presented by Penny Newman Grain is the third to last race of the campaign for the Elk Grove Ford Sprint Car Challenge Tour. This Friday also begins a busy and much-anticipated month of October for Sprint Car racing in the Golden State.
The pass on lap 11 Friday night at Utica-Rome Speedway determined the championship. Initially, it was a race to determine who would have a slight advantage Saturday. Still, Kyle Pierce found his way past Tomy Moreau to move up into third. With Moreau fading to fifth, Pierce entered Land of Legends with a four-point advantage.
It’s been a season of adaptability for Zach Sobotka. Entering Friday night’s event at Utica-Rome Speedway, Sobotka had recorded three top 10s in four races, with a best finish of third at Brewerton.
