Rain Claims ASCS Regional Showdown At Lake Ozark Speedway

Already soft grounds, coupled with rain starting Thursday and continuing into Saturday, events with the ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps and American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products at Lake Ozark Speedway on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30 have been called off.

All Star Move May 14th Date to Wayne County

ith uncertainties surrounding the opening of the Dirt Oval at Route 66 in Joliet, Illinois, the previously scheduled co-sanctioned event featuring the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 and the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series set for Saturday, May 14, has officially been canceled. Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, will now host the ASCoC on Saturday, May 14. The Series will head southeast to Orrville following Friday’s Mace Thomas Classic at I-96 Speedway worth $8,500-to-win. Wayne County Speedway will award $6,000-to-win.

Nolen and Axsom Team Up for Silver Crown Effort

Just a few short years ago, Joe Axsom got his chance behind the wheel of Gene Nolen’s USAC Silver Crown car, making eight series starts on the pavement between 2015 and 2017.

Now, just a few short years later, the next generation of Axsom and Nolen are going USAC Silver Crown racing themselves as their sons, driver Emerson Axsom and team owner Greg Nolen, will make their debut with the iconic yellow number 20 in the series’ season opener this Sunday, May 1, the Sumar Classic at the Terre Haute (Ind.)
