The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series is “Buckeye State” bound for a big week. The Sprint Car world’s entire focus is fixed firmly on Ohio. Race teams are traveling from afar. Race fans have finally reached those vacations requested months ago. Haulers are stocked to capacity. Campers are loaded up. Ohio is the place to be this week.
There’s no driver hotter on the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series tour than Michael “Buddy” Kofoid right now. It began with a major week at Huset’s Speedway where Kofoid finished on the podium all four nights of the Huset’s High Bank Nationals and won a pair of six-figure paydays, becoming only the third driver to do so in one week.
The holiday weekend off was nice, but it’s time to get back to business for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. The smoke has settled from Fourth of July fireworks, and the country’s best Sprint Car drivers are ready to get back on the dirt.

David Gravel appeared to be cruising toward victory on Friday at Cedar Lake Speedway, but then an issue put the win in jeopardy.The nose wing on the Big Game Motorsports No. 2 was knocked askew as the laps wound down. A hungry Carson Macedo was behind him, and trailing Macedo was the hottest driver on the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series tour, Michael “Buddy” Kofoid.
Who doesn’t love a mid-summer trip to the lake? That’s exactly what the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series has in mind this week. New Richmond, WI’s Cedar Lake Speedway is this week’s destination for The Greatest Show on Dirt. The 3/8-mile dirt track brings the tour to town for a full weekend of action on June 27-28.
