Then the scene shifted to another Minnesota track, Jackson Motorplex, on Saturday for the World of Outlaws presented by Fendt.
Another summer month, another major stretch for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. With a jam-packed July in the books, all eyes are on a July boasting big events as the Summer of Money continues.
A huge sprint car doubleheader is on tap at Jackson Motorplex this week. The track hosts the Tweeter Memorial presented by Joel Pingeon Trucking on Thursday and the C & B Border Battle presented by New Fashion Pork and SW Broadband on Friday. The Cressman Sanitation Midwest Sprint Touring Series 410 Sprint Cars and the Heser Auto & Detailing RaceSaver Sprint Cars will be the featured divisions each night.
A big payday is on the line when racing returns to Jackson Motorplex on July 11. The Hefty Seed Merle Johnson Memorial presented by DKW Transport features a $10,000 top prize for the winner of the Cressman Sanitation Midwest Sprint Touring Series 410 Sprint Cars main event, which pays $1,000 to start.
Every now and then a driver winning at a specific track becomes nearly a foregone conclusion, and Carson Macedo is making a case at Jackson Motorplex. The Lemoore, CA native entered Wednesday’s Fendt Showdown locked in a four-way tie for the most World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series victories at the Minnesota oval. Despite having less starts than Donny Schatz, Logan Schuchart, and Brad Sweet, he’d managed to pile up four checkered flags to equal them.
