The party gets underway with the annual “Tyler and Chuck Wolf Memorial” on Friday July 17th at Chico’s Silver Dollar Speedway. The event kicks off eight nights of racing in 10 days up and down the West Coast. The overall champion of SCCT Western Sprint Tour Speedweek will pocket $4,000 while the runner up receives $2,500 and third place earns $1,500.
The USAC Hall of Fame class of 2026 was officially inducted during a ceremony on Wednesday, July 1, at USAC headquarters in Speedway, Indiana. USAC’s 13th hall of fame class includes officials Jack Beckley and John Cooper, plus car owner Blackie Fortune, promoter Sam Nunis, as well as drivers Johnny Parsons, George Snider and Tom Sneva.
Briggs Danner provided redemption for himself and his team on Wednesday night with a drive to victory in the BC39 Presented by Avanti Windows & Doors. Danner, from Allentown, Pennsylvania, earned his first career USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship victory at The Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in one of the most prestigious short-track races in the country.
Checkout time came early Tuesday night for Drake Edwards at The Dirt Track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Edwards drove from the fourth starting spot to the lead on lap 7 and never trailed thereafter to win the 30-lap Stoops Star Spangled Showdown feature in his No. 40D Chase McDermand Racing/GR8 Company – Rexroad Racing/Spike/Speedway Toyota machine.
