The Southern Ontario Sprints announced a rule change on Tuesday they would allow a new spec General Motors LS-3 Racing Engine to compete against the standard 360 sprint car engines for the 2026 season.

WESTBROOK BECOMES ALL-TIME SOS WINS LEADER WITH BUXTON VICTORY
Dylan Westbrook had a record-setting night on Saturday at Buxton Speedway with the Southern Ontario Sprints series. The driver from Scotland, Ontario set a new single lap track record in his heat race and capped the night off with a victory that moved him to the top of the all-time SOS win list.

TURNER TAKES $5,000 SOS WIN AT BRIGHTON

As of our June 28 event at Brighton Speedway, the Southern Ontario Sprints series will be allowing a tire option for teams. Teams will be allowed to choose between the current Hoosier HTC and the newer HTC Medium 1. This option will also be in effect for our Buxton Speedway event on July 12.
