You couldn’t have written a more storybook script for Friday night at Texarkana 67 Speedway. The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series visited the Arkansas oval for the first time. A huge debut packed two events into one weekend for the best Sprint Car talent in the world, and it opened with the Jason Johnson Classic presented by FK Rod Ends.
The Summer of Money is nearing, and Carson Macedo and the Jason Johnson Racing crew are heating up. The No. 41 team didn’t quite perform up to their high standards over the first few months of the season. Sure, they were consistent, but Macedo and company are used to visiting Victory Lane often. Over the last few weeks, they’ve done exactly that.
Carson Macedo had never seen New Egypt Speedway until Friday night. Could one of the sport’s most uniquely shaped dirt tracks puzzle and slow one of the best Sprint Car drivers in the country? Nope.
Carson Macedo brought out the broom and spanked everyone with it in Minnesota this weekend. It began with topping Friday’s World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series visit to Ogilvie Raceway. Then the scene shifted to another Minnesota track, Jackson Motorplex, on Saturday for the World of Outlaws presented by Fendt.
Carson Macedo is inevitable in the state of Minnesota. Maybe it’s the lakes. Maybe it’s the Twin Cities. Maybe it’s the mild summers. Whatever it is, Macedo can’t be stopped in the “Gopher State.”
