SALT CITY STUNNER! REINBOLD REIGNS AT HUTCH IN HIS FIRST USAC SILVER CROWN START

Any way you slice it, the odds were stacked against Hayden Reinbold during Saturday night’s 3rd running of the Evans Building Salt City 100 at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson. In what was his first career USAC Silver Crown appearance, Reinbold didn’t even make it to the green flag on the initial start after wall contact in turn four. Restarting 17th, he even went a lap down to the leader just 10 circuits into the 100-lapper.

Austin McCarl backed up a Friday IRA main event win in Davenport, Iowa, by charging from row three to win the Leighton State Bank 410 main event at Knoxville Raceway on Local 5/Iowa Live Night Saturday. The win was the Altoona, Iowa native’s tenth here, was worth $6,000 and came aboard the Country Builders Construction #88.

Kahne Tops Williams Grove Duel with Haudenschild for First World of Outlaws Win

Add his name to the record books. Kasey Kahne is forever a World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series winner. The kid from Enumclaw, WA made his debut with The Greatest Show on Dirt on Aug. 22, 1997 at Grays Harbor Raceway in his home state. After that, he made a successful journey into NASCAR that included wins in the Coca-Cola 600 and Brickyard 400. Kahne ventured into Sprint Car team ownership that brought six World of Outlaws titles with Brad Sweet (five) and Daryn Pittman (one). But one thing that remained absent from his résumé was a victory with the World of Outlaws as a driver.

Camarillo, California’s Ricky Lewis chased Korbyn Hayslett for 15 laps in the 25 lap feature at I-96 Speedway and took the top spot on lap 16 and didn’t look back taking the checkers in the Great Lakes Traditional Sprint win Friday night. Following Lewis at the stripe was Steve Irwin, Jess Vermillion, Jakeb Boxell and Korbyn Hayslett.
