Scelzi Wins Brownell / Herseth Classic at Chico

For the second year in a row, Fresno’s Dominic Scelzi won the Brownell / Herseth Classic, presented by Shane Scott and Care Free Pools. Last year it was a 360 race. This year, the 410-winged sprint cars were scheduled. A total of 25 drivers signed into the SLC Promotions pit area for Friday nights show. Other winners included Zach Lindgren in the Shelby’s Pest Control Hobby Stock main event and Phillip Shelby won the B mod feature.

10th David Tarter Memorial Set for Saturday

The NARC Fujitsu General 410 Sprint Cars will travel to the historic Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California this Saturday, April 30th for the tenth annual David Tarter Memorial. Joining the 410-winged sprint car will be a point race for the B mods.

SLC Promotions Releases 2022 Silver Dollar Speedway Schedule

The newly formed SLC Promotions is excited to release the 2022 racing schedule at the famed quarter-mile clay oval Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA. “We thought long and hard about what we wanted to accomplish in our first year of managing the Silver Dollar Speedway,” said Brad Sweet. “We feel that this schedule is a good first step in offering the racers and fans an entertaining season of diverse racing.”

2021 NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kyle Larson and three-time World of Outlaw NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Champion Brad Sweet have teamed up to become the new promoters of Silver Dollar Speedway—the historic dirt track in Chico, California. The Northern California natives, with a combined 14 sprint car victories at the track less than two hours from their childhood hometowns, formally signed a deal with Silver Dollar Fairgrounds this week.
